Default Stall is over! Bars are evil

Quit eating the misleading 2 carb bars and 2 days later I lost 2 more pounds!

Nothing more but pure real food for this lowcarber =)

Havuk,

What type of bars were you eating? I have been eating the Carb Solution bars and have been losing with them. In fact I think they are heaven sent. I just wondered if you were using those or something different.
Thanks!

Congrats on you loss!

Default YUUUUKKKK!!!

It must be me, but I can't choke down one bite of those bars--I tried 2 different Atkins ones, and some Ultimate Lo-Carb thing--I couldn't GET to trash quick enough to spit it out.....

maybe it's a good thing...

Patty

I don't like any of them except: Carb Solution Toffee hazelnut. I have bought many taken one bite and spit them out. I am just happy to have found the one.

Sugar alcohols and glycerin seem to be a YMMV thing. Many people find that eating products that contain those things causes them to stall and others seem to be able to eat them without a problem. For a long time, I thought I was in the latter group until I hit a 5 month stall....yup...it was the bars.

Yeah...after I stopped eating sugar alcohols when I discovered the "yeasty bugs" (candida albicans overgrowth) I started losing weight on a regular basis. Now that I'm past the infection...and safely into OWL....I've tried nearly all the things that I eliminated while on the stricter regimen...with success...except for the sugar alcohols. I'm afraid to try them again, because I now suspect that they were what kept me from losing weight in the beginning...not necessarily the candida. I have about fifteen of the protein bars...and an entire box of Atkins endulge bars plus a couple Asher's chocolate bars waiting for me to try the sugar alcohols....if I have to count them as regular carbs, can anyone imagine me eating a fifth of a bar (or less) at a time? Yikes!!!
