I, too, like reading for new info and inspiration. And I don't weigh myself very often anymore. Just go by how I feel and how my clothes fit.

It is nice to have company in LC living. Coming to the forum makes it easier to stay on track.

Best wishes to all.

I consider myself a maintainer, too. My original weight goal was 199, but my weight loss bottomed out around 209 and then bounced up a couple of pounds, and I've been maintaining around 211 for six months now. It's not 199, but it's almost 30 pounds lighter than where I started. I lost six inches off my waist and 3-4 inches off the rest of me. I feel and function so much better. So I decided to not stress out over the other 10-12 pounds and just concentrate on keeping off the weight I've lost. Forever. It's work maintaining the right mindset. Some days are easier than others. This forum is so helpful! I weigh myself daily even though I know the number is going to fluctuate some. It keeps me conscious and accountable. Somewhat.

Nice to be in such good company here. As others have said, look around and you'll find the maintainers: of the weight loss as well as the habits, mindset and practices that foster it.

Barb, it's nice the way you write about maintaining. Thanks for the beautiful thoughts and words.
