I love Wedge Salad.

I had to travel over the weekend - but managed to get to Walmart around midnight both Sat night and Sunday when I got home because they were open so I could get salad stuff and make my dinner salad that I usally have. I wanted to make sure I could sleep well. I bought a premade BLT salad w/chicken and then bought shredded iceberg lettuce, some sour cream and shredded cheese to add to it.

Enjoying a faux mojito with fresh basil, sweetener and lime muddled, added ice and seltzer water, a drop of rum and peppermint extracts...really good.

I was planning on my one meal a day to be a chicken wing, a piece of steak, and some yogurt with blackberries. However, I had to work til 10 PM and don't feel like eating what I brought. I am working alone and can't go out and get anything else, so I guess I will wait until breakfast. I'm not hungry anyway.

I cannot seem to get to the store - working a lot of hours, project moving/house in full swing. So I keep stopping to buy a few salad items that I'm missing for a protein dinner salad - the usual, lettuce, tomato, bacon bits, hard cooked egg, shrimp, cheese, cheese crisps, and Ranch with a variant veggie or two in there...finally getting cold enough to consider warmer heartier things for dinner but I sleep so well when I have salad.

A friend of ours came back from a fishing trip and gave us a 5 pound bag of Yellowfin Tuna that has bee in the freezer for about a month now - I finally thawed it out and its like 4 1.25 pound peices... I've got them marinating in lemon juice and hot chili oil. My wife insists on baking them so they'll be going in the oven in a couple hours and I'll make asparagus with hollandaise sauce on the side. Only problem is what do do with the leftovers. I just cant understand why he froze all 4 pieces together.

Wow you guys are great!
last night was the wrong thing - bits and pieces of pate, endive, olives, nuts, cheese, salad - a snacking supper that everyone else liked but left me unsatisfied and resentful and wanting just some hunk of fatty meat. so found myself grumpily finishing the bottle of wine and then having a small rant about needing more support for my woe...

we are doing the same thing tonight except I am adding an entire roast chicken and drinking water.

I've been MIA - moved to Atlanta for several months - and am finally back to some normalcy with eating.
I am making my favorite salad - just simple romaine, spring mix, orange cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg, bacon bits, sauteed shrimp and some odd Parm Crisps they sell here but I am thrilled to find them. They are big and called Everything Crisps, like the topping on everything bagels. Homemade Ranch.
