Default Bloodwork comparison: Nearly two years of low carb

Just to show you how well the WOE works, here are some numbers taken from bloodwork nearly 2 years apart.

In this time I have gone from my late 20s to early 30s. I have PCOS, Hashimoto's and Insulin Resistance.

July 2014:
At this time, I was taking 1500 mg of Metformin and had begun strength training 7 days a week (I was doing the 30 day shred)

a1c: 6.6
HDL: 42
LDL: 139
Triglycerides: 196
TSH: 4.5
T4: 0.87
T3: 2.7

April 2016
I currently take 1000mg of metformin and strength train 4 days a week.

a1c: 5.3
HDL: 63
LDL: 128
Triglycerides: 78
TSH: 3.5
T4: 1.34
T3: 3.0

Regardless to say, I'm very happy about these results. Even though my TSH could be better, I am not currently planning to take thyroid medications because I'm completely asymptomatic.

Awesome, especially on the A1C, a big accomplishment.

It's a number I'm watching, I was normally around 5.9 but jumped to 6.0 this past summer. No recent retests!

Look at the plummet in that triglyceride number!! Apparently, heart-wise, that's the one to watch. Hope you got a pat on the back from your doc.

I suspect that most docs don't know exactly what to say or do with customers who are clearly knowlegable and in charge of their own health.

Best wishes!

That is excellent. A pat on the back is definitely in order for you.
