Quest-Bars Spike Blood-Sugar Big-Time
Interesting video by Boulder diabetes support group showing how Quest Bars...ya know...the one's that are supposed to be LC friendly...spike blood sugar levels in a big way.
I had been eating these, thinking they were a 'relatively benign indulgence' but kept having hypoglycemic episodes from them. So in researching how the heck a "low carb bar" could do that to me, I came across this video.
I like Quest Bars..and use them for my canyon hikes...we sometimes take homemade jerky..or nuts..I tried making protein bars...and couldn't stomach them..a total waste of ingredients...so all you purists...how about some ideas!
