Mom to 3--
Since you're the only one who I know has access to Trader Joe's, I just wanted to recommend a couple of other good things that work with Low carb and Schwarzbein:

Dr. Praeger's Veggie Burgers--a delicious, low carb way to get some variety in vegetables

Lettuce Wrappers--Romaine-like holders for food (instead of tortillas, for instance)

Buffalo burgers--instead of beef

TJ's Ultimate Burger--Burgers with bleu cheese and bacon in the middle

Dairy products that are rBST free (the hormone they add to cow's milk which many are suspicious of): Cream cheese, heavy cream, milk, yogurt, butter, sour cream, half and half--all rBST-free

Almond meal for pie pastry instead of wheat (combine with some butter)

the reading I have been doing says there isn't a firm decision on that, but in light of the fact that they found some people do react to oatmeal I stopped eating it for the time being :-)
also a lot of the reading said that if you are diabetic (I am borderline)its best to steer clear of most grains anyway...
thanks much
