Default Carb UP

Hi, Can someone explain to me what you are suppose to do when you carb up?
I have been re-inducting since Feb. 1st, and the weight loss has been slow to none.
I have done 2 meat and egg fast, but the second one is at a stand still, and try eating nothing but meat and eggs for 5 days, twice, and you will find it is not fun!! So, it is really frustrating to find this last one did not produce what the first one did! I have lost weight doing it, but the first time on Atkins I had lost quit a bit in 2.5 to 3 months. This time a total of 10 to 11 pounds.
Ok, I know that some are going to say that is good, but compared to last time with me, it is bad!
So, I want to do the Carb Up and see if it gets the weight dropping steady.

So any help with this I would dearly appriciate!
Thanks in Advance!
BRenda

I'm not sure of the proper way to do it. I know some of the people who do weight trianing know a lot about it. I do it but I know I don't do it right so I don't want to give you the wrong advice.

to properly carb you need to add in complex carbs, like whole grains. some great foods to carb up with are:

steel cut oats (1/2 cup about 25 carbs)
rolled oats (40g about 25 carbs)
uncle sam cereal (1 cup about 28 carbs)

only start out with one serving of these each of it might cause you to have a carb crash even though these are great low GI foods. If you can find McCann's steel cut oats, they are the perfect food to carb up with. I get them at publix.

you do not want to carb up with anything made with sugar, that will mess you up big time. if you have any more questions feel free to ask. good luck!

Well, IMO it depends on the degree you feel your body has to be deprived of leptin. Honestly, the people I know who do this choose HI-GI foods on purpose such as rice or pasta....while keeping the diet relatively low fat for the day. If you stick with relatively low carbohydrate foods...it may or may not be productive for you. Most people still avoid sugar because they assign them as empty calories....not that eating rice is much better. Anyhow, the point is to replenish as much leptin as possible and shock the system in a short amount of time (within one day) so being moderate with low GI things isnt exactly the idea.
Is this method healthy? Not really...but it works. I'd probably go with moonwalker he gives pretty sensible advice.... Remember....even if you do it his way your appetite will increase quite a bit and familiar cravings may return, so be careful and make sure you're on track the next day with good LC food.

Could well be that I did not do it right. It made me feel like I was yo-yo dieting and abusing Induction. Serious control issues I thought I had left behind reared their ugly heads as well. I wasted a lot of time getting my body stabilized again afterwards.

I wish you better luck than I had.
