Thank you so much for this. I wonder why my doctor wants me to be at 110? so I change my goal to 83.

But I'm not a Young Male! Isn't there some adjustment for age? Are 60 yo expected to have the same BG as a teen? I've always wondered about that.

You will have to make your own decision about your doctor's advice based on your health and medical alternatives, though you are already getting readings UNDER 110 so her email is mis-timed. But I heard some strange doctor stories this week. One the doctor wanted to raise a Lipitor prescription from 10mg to 20mg when the guy's cholesterol is Trigs 83/HDL 62. He refused (note he is taking the 10mg and has for years) so she "dumped" him after 22 years! I don't know how your doctors are assigned to you, but dont want you to lose medical care..though she might not be a loss, just be sure you keep the dietician!

NOTE...this is session #16, so Dr. Bernstein has already covered a number of other topics in between this and the first post. Like that he has them by topic, pick and choose those of interest.
