I'm pretty sure I was "Willow" here back in 2009, but it must've grown inactive.
I lost 70 lbs. in 2009 using the South Beach diet, then got some (untrue) bad medical news, (that macular degeneration was imminent) and, extremely depressed over my future, ate my way back to within 10 lbs. of that high starting weight.
In fall 2012, I read Wheat Belly, and 1/1/13 went grain free. That spring, I read The End of Overeating, found marksdailyapple.com, and embraced the Primal approach. I lost all the excess weight (66) lbs. by the fall, and have been in maintenance ever since.
I'm flirting with the idea of Zero Carb, but still leery. I follow Dr. Barbara Berkeley's 'primarian' eating plan now in maintenance.
