Default Still no weight loss...BUT

2 weeks of induction over and still no weight loss, but I feel very stupid because 'going back to the drawing board' showed me that I have been tremendously overdoing it on some green vegetables. I have been eating so many brussels sprouts and broccoli. ! I was soooo careful with carbs in everything I ate but didn't even consider that brussels sprouts could be so high. Starting all over again....What a pain.

Is it possible you're getting a ton of sodium from cheese or processed meats and thus retaining a lot of water?

It's possible I may be getting some fluid retention from the warm weather we are having over here. I always retain fluid in warm weather, I seem biologically programmed to feel better in colder weather. I don't eat processed meat and only have 50grams of cheese a day, usually organic. I really hope it's too much veg, as if it's not I don't know what else to do !

Remember to pay attention to your body about when you've had enough to eat. If you're buttering or "fatting up" those veggies, you should be feeling full without large servings as fat satiates. I eat Brussels Sprouts, had them last night, caramelized in the oven with butter and bacon fat and some seasonings and 1/2 c was plenty along with a ribeye and I could not finish my steak.

I am a Westman patient and follower, who trained under Dr. Atkins. He is a firm believer in eating til satiated, but not beyond. That was the hardest lesson I learned was listening to my body say enough is enough. Does the Atkins plan you're following allow for unlimited veggies? Westman limits veggies, but allows meats to satiate.

Nothing will take that fluid off of me like drinking water. You are on the right track. Speaking of track, you might try writing down or keeping track of every morsel for a bit to see where you might be overstepping. We are here for you. Keep posting!

Thankyou so much. Here is my plan. There are a few constraints as I don't like eating a lot of meat. I don't eat processed food apart from a couple of rashers of bacon maybe once a week with a fried egg and 25 grams of cheese for lunch instead of the omelette and salad and I suffer with an acid tummy if I don't eat for too long a time.
Bkfst... 25 grams of cheese.

mid morning...cup of coffee with 15mls of double cream.

Lunch...2 egg omelette with 25 grms cheese, greensalad and one small tomato with 1 tblspn mayo.

mid afternoon...coffee with 15 mls double cream.

Dinner...meat or fish, green veg 1 tblspn butter.

Snack...1 egg custard with 15 mls double cream.

As you can see I do have cream frequently but not large amounts. I reckon I am having 65 - 70 grams of protein a day.

I had minimal weight loss during the 1st two weeks of Atkins induction. I did measure my waist before I started, and therein lied the results - for me. Once I added intermittent fasting (IF) to the mix, the weight started to fall.

Wish that were the case for me, I am just the same measurements. Not even one ounce has shifted. I would be glad if anyone can comment on my menu. Thanks.

What kind of cheese are you eating? I just don’t see anything wrong with your menu as you have it listed. What is in the egg custard for sweetener or is it savory? Anything else besides lettuce, tomato and mayo in your salad? How are you preparing your protein at dinner? The cream really should not be the issue.

The cheese is aged cheddar and sweetener is Splenda. I add a few slices of cucumber and celery to salad and the protein is roasted or fried. Do you think I should be adding more fat ?
