Thumbs up Ready to go ... again!

My husband and I went on the Atkins plan a couple of months ago and did great and had fun doing it, but with the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) we (especially me) fell off the wagon but I'm ready to go again!!!

welcome back. Lots of us have been on the carb monster for a few weeks and are ready to restart. It will be great to have so much company for the restart. How nice that husband is also doing this. Wishing you great success.

Smile Introduction

Century Century Hi to everyone out there...I am here to introduce myself...I'm Pink. I'm nervous about beginning a new food program. I have done Slim-Fast, Weight Watchers, The Diet Centre, and H.O.W, a division of O.A. I will begin on the fifth. I wanted to write it down to make it real. I wanted to make a committment before I begin. I commit to fourteen days of protein and vegetables and eight glasses of water a day. I commit to some sort of moving, six days a week. I have one hundred pounds to lose and I'm frightened of failing again. I hate being fat. I want so much to feel better, walk faster and be comfortable in my skin.
Happy New Year to all.

Love & Light,
Pink

Pink,

You and I have about the same weight loss goals - around 100 pounds. I am happy to say that after 11 months I am down 60 pounds - and with this forums help, have learned many ways to keep my self on this way of eating (not diet) that I am confident that I will reach my goal of 102 pounds gone. Right now it is just a matter of patience on my part - eventually my body will get there, just not exactly when I had hoped it would. But I do know now, that I WILL get there.

One thing I like on this diet - I'm never hungry, I hate being hungry, not to mention it puts me in a really really bad mood.

You are an inspiration! I am trying very hard to not think of the WHOLE journey, but of the steps I must take to get there. I always begin with enthusiasm, but patience is my downfall. I want it to happen NOW! I know, intellectually, it is not possible, but I believe in miracles and wish one could happen in my case. Pretty humorous, isn't it? There is no logic, only reality. And the reality of the situation is that I am the one in control of my choices and I MUST do this. Love & Light,Pink

Welcome Pink, KCpeacock,

I had so many fear of failure when I started Atkins.

I soon realized that by staying in ketoses

you actually have to remind yourself to eat

and sometimes force yourself.

The water is of the most importance for your weight loss.

I can't imagine ever forgetting to eat, or, the mind boggles at the thought...forcing myself to eat. The only time I ever forgot to eat was in Art School. I was stimulated almost every second of the day with challenges. It was an exciting time. One of the two most exhilerating learning times of my life - so far. The other was my first class in the study of Kabbalah, nine years ago. Kabbalah is what is going to help me now. It will help me to focus, have certainty and trust in the Light. A woman, who studies with me, is helping me with this program. She has been doing it for awhile and has had great success. I am grateful for her assisstance and friendship. And to all who visit here. Thanks.
Love & Light, Pink

Pink,

please start a journal.

Why don't you go visit Allura's journal and introduce yourself.

She is a kindred soul.

Hi Pink,

Click on Introduction , New member and Low carber >Introduce

yourself Three post below You will see How to start a journal.

Everything you wrote here is a wonderful intro to your journal.

When you want to visit someone click on the little yellow page

right under their post and you will automatically be in the

person‘s journal It is like visiting someone in their house, you are

welcome and it will help you to meet and know new people. You

can also go to the journal section and look for someone’s name in

the alphabetical section.

Cool Interview

Just to let everyone know...Dr. Atkins will be interviewed on the Larry King Show on CNN on Monday evening. His show airs 9:00 - 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Getting nervous guys...tomorrow is the big day...my husband and I begin this high protein, low carb journey. I'm really scared. Of all the diets, i.e. food programs I have been on, I haven't done this - new territory. I guess I should approach this as a new experience , a new world to conquer, a new relationship with food - a better one, more positive and wholesome, eh? Will do. Onward and upward.

Thank you for the information. My husband teaches a class, on the internet, along with ones in a classroom. So I will follow your suggestion upon completion of his work. Thank you so very much. How do I get to other threads?
Love & Light,

Pink
P.S. I changed my stats. I weighed myself yesterday morning and felt I had to be honest. So, you see, I haven't even begun and I've gained nine pounds...how does that happen???
