Talking My One Month Report Card

Started January 4th, the day after the College Football National Championship game.

I have not followed any particular plan to the tee, but what I've eaten probably tracks most closely with Atkins.

For BREAKfast I have a 3 egg white cheese omelette with two strips of bacon. Lunch varies but usually some sort of salad with meat (turkey, steak, or chicken.) Dinner early (4:30-5:30) of some meat dish with olives or a small lettuce salad.

I've been pretty good with the booze, an occasional gin martini or glass of wine. Except for the Super Bowl when I completely let myself go! Beer, chips etc.

My body went into complete ketosis after only about 4 days of low carbs.

I feel great! After the first few days I have plenty of energy, sleep better, and I have not had acid reflux (was an occaisonal problem.) I also notice that I'm not hungry. I often have to force myself to eat dinner.

Been working out 4-5 times a week, always in the morning on empty stomach.

I drink at least 120 oz (5 24oz bottles) of water every day.

I'm down 30 pounds to 230 from 260 and fitting in clothes that I had not worn in quite a while. In fact I had a belt that one month ago I could not even get to the first notch and now I'm on the third one!

Wish me continued success on my way to 190!!!
