Is anyone following this plan? I have just completed a 5 day phase 1 and lost 12lb. On phase 2 but am not really having carb meals. I have however had decaff coffee with cream I hope this won't hinder my losses.

Welcome, Zoe Harcombe's diet will fit right in on this forum. I have heard her interviewed before and she was brilliant. Her plan is much like Atkins and VLC plans, without any processed foods, what some of us call Primal or Paleo low carb. I don't know the details of her phases but coffee is allowed on most LC plans, and a bit of cream OK if you can handle dairy.
You will get wonderful support here on this forum for any type of LC diet. Does she take specific questions on her website? Another UK doctor I follow closely, and much enjoy his newsletter and blog, is Dr. John Briffa. His new diet book would likely be a similar LC plan to hers. You've had an amazing start with her plan, Let us know how the other phases work, all the best,

It is done in three phases. Phase 1 is 5 days. You are allowed unprocessed meat and fish (unsmoked), eggs, vegetables and probiotic natural yoghurt. You may also have 50g of brown rice (uncooked weight) This phase kick starts the metabolism into using fat instead of carbs. It helps get candida and hypoglycaemia under control. Phase 2 is equally simple. You can have fat meals (protein, fat, low carb) or carb meals (rice, pasta, potatoes etc but no fat). Phase 3 is maintenance. Her site has lots more info.
