Default mitral value prolapse

Anyone here have mitral value prolapse? What do you do for exercise? I'm tired of the treadmill and stationary bike but my mvp doesn't allow for the high cardio workout.

Try lifting/resistance training? It has been doing wonders for me. I don't have MVP but I do have old age. :-)

Never knew i had it until my late 30's i was running i got really short of breath so i thought i was getting sick so i took a couple of days off from running i normally ran every day a few days went by and i didn't get sick like i thought so i went back to my normal routine got on the track to run and it happened again but this time with heart palpitations. Took the doctor a month to figure it out. I was put on meds that helped but they took me off them last year my blood pressure was dropping too low. So now I'm back to heart palpitations shortness of breath on the simplest incline. But i still try to do things i know have caused problems in the passed because some days are better than others. I'm told that the symptoms might go away some day but its been 7 years i don't see that ever happening. But i do have a weight machine (my stepson's) i can use just never really thought of it as exercise just strengthening.

Water aerobics? Aquafit? can be as hard or as little a workout as you choose, depending on how far under the water you move your hands and legs (there's an equation for figuring out how many pounds you're working depending upon how many cm below the surface you work). All the best.
