Cool

Well this is very new for me.. I am a freshman in college and not overweight(130lbs.) but i have extra weight in my stomach and butt area that i want to lose. I want a flat, toned stomach Do u think there is a goal weight i should shoot for that will not make me look sickly skinny? Also, I have limited options at school to eat. What are some low carb foods and what are the no-no's? If anyone has any tips for a beginner please let me know!!! thanks

Seems like you just need to work on your fat ratio, by building muscle/burning fat without losing weight. You can gain a few lbs of muscle and lose a few lbs of fat and stay at 130 lbs, but your ratio can drop 5%.

It's very hard to descrive low-carb as do's and don'ts, you need to borrow one of the low-carb books from your library. The reason is, you need to understand what you're doing and why you're doing it. Get one of the books (Atkins is found at most public libraries, so is Protein Power and others) and we'll be here to answer you questions and help eachother. Oh, also check our tips section (Click on 'Tips" from the menu above).

Regards,

Wa'il
