After many years, I worked with a co-worker again, and over lunch we would chat. She was as round as ever and eventually shared her story about having a by-pass surgery, as she ate a full bowl of rice and lots of chips.

The last numbers I heard was a 1-2% death rate for the surgery. How can this method be considered a solution when Low carb is staring the medical profession in the face.
