Default Not lost weight, not lost inches, but lost..

Cellulite!

I am at at weight loss plateau, which I knew was going to happen as I am at 11 pounds from goal. I also haven't lost much in the inch department lately. Not happy, but not terribly suprised or upset. However, at the gym yesterday I was complaining about that awful cellulite to my workout partner and pointed to my legs-she responded with, "You call that cellulite?" I looked down and went, "Huh." I realized there wasn't much there. So today, my offical weigh/measure day, I really looked in the mirror and found my cellulite was majorly reduced. I turned to the side, clenched and NOTHING. Holy Crap! It is almost gone!

I don't care that I haven't lost more than 2 pounds a month for the last couple of months, I don't care that I have only lost .2 of an inch in my waist in the last month-I have lost 90% of my cellulite! I never even noticed it until my workout buddy said something.

I know this is a combination of lc and weight lifting. I just want to let you all know that there are things going on with your body that you don't even notice until someone else points it out. We see ourselves everyday and little changes go unnoticed most of the time. Even if you aren't losing weight or inches there is something cool happening.

Congrats on your sucess so far. I did the mirror thing too the other day and what I saw scared me. With the weight loss and inches the celliute is a lot more noticable. You mentioned you are doing some weight and resistance training, do you have any exercises you feel work best for you?

Thanks!

I actually figured it would be the very last thing to go-so I am assuming the weight lifting was instrumental.

You mentioned you are doing some weight and resistance training, do you have any exercises you feel work best for you?

Loribell

I do a lower body weight regime that combine both nautalis type machines and free weights. I usually do 4 sets of leg press, hamstring, inner and outer thigh and also include either some squats or one leg lifts. If you don't want to get a gym membership, I have found that The Firm workouts give a really good weight plus cardio workout. They are tough, you really have to work your way up to doing the whole tape.

There is also a good magazine-Muscle and Fitness Hers that I use to get new exercises. You can usually pick that up at the grocery store.

I also noticed that my cellulite is reducing. I do kick boxing three days a week, elliptical machine 2 days a week and Walk Away the Pounds 1 day a week. I also use firming lotion.

I never thought it could actually happen.

Talking what an inspiration!

and I was wondering that today, as I was in a dressing room and now seeing more of the cellulite bumps than a month ago... nice to know we are able to banish them!

That is so great to hear

I didn't think there was a cure for cottage cheese thighs! (Aside of course, from eating cottage cheese - at least that's what the commercials tell you!)

Great news Paleoanth! Who needs expensive cellulite-banishing creams? Just adopt the LC WOL!

Good for you Paleo...and a VERY valuable post... I could use it myself!!

So many - including myself for the longest while - rely on the number on the scale to see if we're "progressing"... I know the scale doesn't give the whole picture!! But it's so hard to put it away and realize that OTHER things are happening that DON'T show on the scale!

Although I still weight consistently to track and monitor, the pics and testimonies of people who haven't lost "pounds" but have shed inches and have done down in size...WOW! That's why those long periods of time without losing on the scale doesn't have to make us frustrated and crazy.

Feels good, I bet!!
