Smile Psoriasis

Hi just wondering if anyone here has psoriasis and what effect if any LC eating has had. 11 years ago I was eating a semi LC diet of 50-60g of carbs a day and my psoriasis completely cleared up. I am hoping it may do the same again. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

I never found that diet had any affect on my psoriasis. STRESS was the dominating factor. Also the sun could reduce and control it. I got lots of sun and even used a tanning bed with good results. Now I'm retired and living a worry and stress free life in Mexico. I still enjoy the sun, but I know it's my elimination of the stress that has totally cleared up all my psoriasis.

My mother has it and did the sunbooth too. These days her condition is agrivated by the recent chemo and radiation, as her finger nails have over grown with psoriasis and her finger tips are numb. THis is despite a nearly keto diet. Nearly, as she was dropping weight but since treatment has put on a few pounds again, and I do me just a few, no sarcasm.

WIll have to see as time continues if this clears and if she can get back to her diet.

I had life-long eczema that cleared up when I went low carb eight years ago

Both DietDoctor https://www.dietdoctor.com/?s=psoriasis. And WheatBelly http://www.wheatbellyblog.com/?s=Psoriasis+ have numerous success stories.
Is it the elimination of wheat?, sugar? Or processed seed oils...I don’t know but it is great not having rashes anymore.

Yep I do agree Sunnyvmx that stress does play a roll - My psoriasis does lessen when I am relaxed and happy.

Good to know someone has had success Jey100 - For me I think it is wheat that does the damage (And it is my one love) But I would rather be healthy and not have psoriasis than that bowl of pasta

I have guttate psoriasis blooms when I go off plan. Eliminating wheat cleared up much of it but eliminating all grains & legumes is necessary to keep my skin clear. No medications have ever had an effect and the sun tends to make it worse before it gets better.
