Default Splenda or Xylitol?

First, I know that it's better to not use these. I use them sparingly.

I have used splenda in the past. My mom gave me some xylitol. I use splenda in flax seed muffins and cheese cake. Can I use the xylitol for these? Do I use it 1 for 1 like I do splenda?

And how do I count the carbs?

Use them both. When you mix two sweeteners together you need less of each. It is covered in the FAQ at the top of this forum under sweeteners.
