Default Does anyone Plan Hop?

Ive pretty much concluded that one of the major reasons I was stalling is because of this. Im also sure there are many who expeerience this as well- you find something new and immediatey say...I should try this because it worked for someone else or because they feel frustrated. Frustrations leads to many nasty things like believing noting works so you might as well jus go ahead and...... I also believe apart of this frustration is due in part, to the constant monitoring of our WOE. Excessive planning, counting, re-counting, and re- coutning again. It seems as though a day feels like a week.
Has anyone just stayed with it and broken their stall? OR have found success with trying new things but kept it LC?

Thumbs up

Thats mee!! I tried it all (meat/egg fast, eggfast, fat fast, meat fast, lowering my calories way too low, ehm.. I tied it all!) and I just didnt leave it alone this entire summer. What happen`.... I gained 16-20 lb!!.. from binging all the time, eating to much of the wrong stuff (nutts!) thinking it wouldnt stall me "as long as if fits in to the fat%, carbs and cals"... wrooong!

Lately I have just followed every little Induction rules, no franken foods, no aspartam, no soy products... as little of the fat/carb/protein mixed foods.... , meaning soy BEANS, nutts, to much chees, you get it.

I was also jusr't told I might have a sluggish thiroyd, sooo I have started to take 3T of coconut oil/fat/butter and it has definetly helped me feeling better and it maight have been a factor in my weight loss.

Ooooh, I have alsooo uupped my calories from the crazy 1200 to 1600-2000... that has deefinetly made this way better. I read that loweing the calories to low and messing around with the diet is a BIG no no for hypos and that just results in weight GAIN...yup, defiinetly.

Ok, so this last week (or less) I have lost 5-6 without any exercise really, just 30m daily walks. I am so getting a gym membership..imagine!

Rosa- I CAN imagine!
Good point that you mentioned though, Ive messed around with what you mentioned yet still maintained the fat/pro/carb %. Why is that? AND I should change my stats because I too have gained weight from this. I wondered andlooked into slow thyroid and the affects of what I am doing have on it and it makes sense that it would mess it up big time. Thanks for clicking that into my brain.
Ive pretty much drop all plans as of last week and thought this would get me thinking a little more clearly on what i want and how to pursue it-guess what that lead too...over eating, and carb junk. Not necessarliy SUGAR but rice was my major down fall. I live in Asia right now- go figure.
So, I'm almost finished re- reading the book and gonna focus on three things this week only.
1. Portion cotrol
2. Night time eating
3. NO eating infront of the tv.
I think, Ive got the what to eat down pat, how much is in everything because I recorded EVERYTHING.
Major problems are behavior. I had no idea coconut oil would help with thyroid, did your doctor mentin that?
Congrats on your loss though last week. Keeping cals up, makes you re-think why Dr. A focuses on carb counts and not necesarliy calories, no?
Perhaps, thats why consistency is key! You'll never know if something is ever going to achieve the results you want, if we keep switching.
Wish you well this week...

Hey Dylan! Ohh Asia... that got to br a little hard. But then again ,I live in Sweden and the LC WOL is not popular here at all and there are no LC products, so I just keep it all fresh!

-Portion controll.
I know that when I drink all the water Im supposed to the portion end up like they should.
-Night time eating.
I dont eat my Dinner later that 19:00, if Im REALLY hungry Ill get a snack, a protein snack is the best I would think. With a Green Tea.
-Eating infront of the TV.
Hehe.. I eat infront of the TV or computer alot too, but it havent got me into trouble yet.

Im still not taking the medications for my thyroid b/c I still havent got the results of my blood yest done. So in the meantime I tro to do what I can to not make it worse, soy products are nonos for a hypo, some raw veggies are also nonos, again messing with the diet...nono.
You can read this thread for more info about the coconut oil: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=106244

I make myself some nice choclate: 1T coconut oil, 1T cocoa powder, melt & mix... slowly mix in 1T heavy cream while whisking, I also add sweetner, peppermint extract and a little salt. Then just freez it and the perfect chocklte bar comes out. You being in OWL could add some crushed & roasted nutts..Oalį!

Good luck & have a great day!

Oh- I know about the soy products! I gave up tofu- a main staple in this WOE, last week. I feel much better because of it actually. That includes soy milk.
Thanks for the site info.
