Default Virtual Model

A friend sent me this site www.virtualmodel.com
This is used by companies such as Lands' End to help you shop for clothes by making a 'virtual model' of yourself. It's pretty neat -you can put your height, weight, and all that and it makes a 3D model. As for me, I use it as a motivator by creating a couple different models based on my mini-goals (see below). I can tell that there isn't much difference in my original weight and what I am now as far as the 3D rendering goes. However, I am so motivated to get to my second mini-goal because there is a visible difference in the 185 and the 168 model. This may not be for someone who's not willing to see what they may (or may not) actually look like, but as for me, it's pretty neat and is a great motivator. I especially like seeing what I may look like at 135!

That was fun! I also did one of what I intend to look like. It will be a good model for inspiration.

Good Luck!

Mum, thanks so much for being 'jealous' hehe I am proud of myself too and I can't believe that I'm actually able to do this this time. I've tried this so many times and given up - even after I started in this forum, I gave up and gained a lot back. When I hit 200, I said THAT'S IT!!! This is no longer a choice, I've GOT to do this. Somehow I found whatever it is inside me that made me stay with this. I'm also in a better place in my life to be able to keep out the stressers that keep me from succeeding. I know that it helped a lot when I was starting out to have people read my journal and offer advice on what I could do differently. I go to atkinscenter.com a lot too for articles and how-tos on what to do. It's just one day at a time

Jamie,

Thanks so much. What a fun way to shop and inspire us to get to our goal weight, no matter how long it takes.

Your weight loss so far is right on. Keep on trucking and use that model to keep track of the changes.

Now, if I could only tone my arms to look like my model, that would be a miracle.

Magic

Default Hey Thanks For Reminding Me!

I found this site awhile back...but saw your post and decided to revisit! When I logged into my account...my model was at 178 pounds which was what I weighed the last time I visited (Around January 22nd!)...I had to take a double take and look in my journal because now I weigh 169!!

WOW... What A Great Feeling!...I needed this!

Thanks
Julie!

Thanks for the virtual model link....now I wish my stomach was that flat!

Doesn't matter how many situps, crunches, ab work, I still have a big lower ab. I guess that is the downfall of having three kids...and having twins I am sure didn't help!

Thanks, that was fun. Why does she look so much better than me???? I agree with the previous post...carrying babies around for 9 months is not good for your lower abs.

Hi -

I went and built a model of myself - I wish I looked as good as that - the virtual me has no celluite and does not have "fat knees" but it is very inspirational seeing the goal weight me - though she still looks better!!!
