Dukes in campbell River apparently has specific low carb meals some one said they were Atkins diet meals. I haven't been there but I thought I would pass it on.

Thumbs up crustless quiche & steamed seasoned green veg in a DELI!

Real food, right there for a quick lunch. Yum.

Planet Organic's deli, at the London Drugs/Quadra Centre (McKenzie Avenue & Quadra, Saanich, Greater Victoria).

Very yummy indeed.

The vegetables were all organic, all green (red chard, broccoli, kale, seasoned with gomashio and toasted sesame oil and a bit of chili), 215g for 3.85 -- buy as much or as little as you want.

The crustless quick had to be about 12 ounces or so, made of organic eggs, cream, asparagus, asiago cheese, dill, black pepper and sea salt, for 3.99. Very filling and tasty.

Default Bread - Courtenay

Carb Conscious Bread (4.5 net carbs) originally sold at Safeway for $5 + is now at McGavins for $1.99 in Courtenay. (should phone first as they have a hard time keeping it on the shelves).

Carb Correct is $1.99 at Safeway - 4.54 net carbs per slice.

I just managed to get into the newly done Thrifty's store today in Courtenay. I noticed a sign on the counter at the grill bar," Low Carb Lunch available".
I did'nt have time to look and see what they had, but that can sure be handy, when stuck for a fast lunch in Courtenay :>)

Hi everyone:
Courtenay's newest little secret is the gas station across from red rubys and beside the liquor store. ( husky's I think) They have low carb subs, 6 inch and loaded. The veggie sub is $2.69 plus .50 cents for the bun and a meat and veggie sub is I think a dollar more. Plus if you buy 9 subs you get one free. Better than subway for sure and cheap. The buns come from buns master so you can check the carb count there.

Hey, y'all. Hi again!

I'm working on Wheat Protein Isolate for the western region (to start with, lower shipping costs), maybe getting it into stores.

I'd sure like to hear from any interested Canadians.

There's an email link at the webpage if you want to reach me, or just drop me a PM...love to hear from you.

You might want to check out your local Fairway's stores.
Last week the one in Oak Bay suddenly had an Atkins display rack near the checkouts. When I went back this week I found they had moved all the products to their respective departments. Without spending my whole lunch-hour searching I managed to find: 3 types of Atkins supplements; four kinds of sauce including ketch-a-tomato (which while not ketchup was wonderful after a year without the red stuff); the usual muffin/pancake/brownie mixes plus the canister of Atkins bake mix on sale for $13.99. Also, along with the peanut butter cups and caramel chews they had another Endulge bar I had never seen - sort of like a peanut butter twix.

Western Foods also in Langford has the display...was pleased to see the supplements and sauces too. The muffin mixes etc were 5.99 better price than most places.

Yes Kathy good idea. My daughter works at sound advice and she has a sub everyday. That is how I found out about it. She came home one day and told me they have low carb buns now. The river walk is so nice too.
