Question Fibre

After several weeks of planning, the diet started this morning.

3 rashers of bacon & 2 fried eggs for breakfast seems a nice way to ease yourself into a new diet!

I have a question though. How am I supposed to get my 20g of fibre a day? Everyone acknowledges that this is an important element of nutrition, but I cant see how I can fit it in without exceeding my carb intake for the day.

Any advice/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Steve

Default Fibre

Hi Steve, and welcome.

I concur with your thoughts that it seems too good to be true to start the day with bacon/sausages/eggs.

Regarding Fibre

Make sure you use up your 20grams of carbs with your salad and veges. 1 cup of vegetables each night, and 2 cups of salad vegetables per day.

If you have the new Atkins book, its talks about added fibre on page 76.

Good for Induction is adding one tablespoon of psyllium husks a day mixed with water. Read the great tips on intestinal health on this forum

Make sure you drink lots of water.

Cheers and welcome
