Thumbs up Did your feet shrink when you lost weight?

Mine did!

I went from a solid size 9 to an 8 - 8.5 (I was 226 and am now 150)

Not a huge change, but it has definitely changed!

Yes. I had shoes that stopped fitting when I gained weight, but they fit again now that I've lost weight.

Yes, mine did. I don't think it's unusual. My DH's grandmother had five kids and she told us that her feet spread a half size with each kid. So, if the added weight can cause them to spread, reduced weight can cause them to let up, so to speak.

I was wearing a 9 1/2 but now I'm a 9. I have only lost 10-12 pounds. Also, my balance is better in heels and my plantar fascitis is improved.

My balance in heels has improved as well, now that you mention it. Could be partially due to my loss but also could be my exercising so much.

I too went up a 1/2 size with each of my two children. Now, 36 lbs back down, I'm back down one 1/2 size again to 7.5. I definitely hope that losing another 30 lbs will result in getting back to my old size 7 so I can fit into my only pair of Louboutin's again

Wow! I'm glad you posted this. My dd has several pairs of adorable shoes that I was going to put in the yard sale box. She outgrew them before she had a chance to really wear them. I'll save them and see if a few months down the road I can wear them. Thanks!!

So I wasn't crazy! I thought I'd lost my mind that my feet had gotten smaller. Good to know! I think I'll hang onto those old, lightly worn van's sneakers after all!

Well, we still haven't established that you're not actually crazy.

My feet got bigger by 1 whole size when I gained so I hope they shrink as I lose weight. None of my shoes fit and I had to buy new hiking boots $$$!

Conversely, I've "shrunk out" of some more recently purchased pairs, as well.
