hi shirley, welcome to our forum
Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution was published in 1992, it may be that is the book you already have?? Look for the word New in the title ... if it just says Diet Revolution, then it's his old book, from the 70s ... that plan still works, by the way ... but his new program allows for slightly higher carb levels in the beginning, in the form of salads and lowcarb vegetables, such as broccoli, asparagus, mushrooms and spinach. If you don't have the newer book, you should be able to borrow a copy from the library..
To get you started, and explain what lowcarbing is all about, read through some of the articles in our Tips column, click here to read it. Especially read Lowcarb Basics and Lowcarb Frequently Asked Questions. These should get you started, as well as provide links to websites of the "official" programs, for more information.
Hope you have the chance to explore our whole website and forum ... and post often .. I hear it's great for the weight loss effort .. ... Why not pop into our Introductions forum, and say Hello.
