Default weight gain

I know it's bad to look at the scale, but just wanted to convince myself. Three weeks into lifting; look better, feel better!! That of course is wonderful. I would guess a weight gain of 4 pounds. I know muscle weighs more and all that , but is this possible. Also realize I am more hungry than ever and am eating more; protein
vegetables some berries in shakes. OH well,
pants did't get tighter so maybe I have to go by that. thanks

Allen,

a 4 pound gain could come from various places... as long as the pants aren't any tighter, that's a good sign.

If you have just begun weight training, it could be a water gain, as your body will retain fluid for the muscle repair going on in your body.

hang in there, and use the measure tape and your clothing as a guide - tho it is nice to see that drop on the scale, it's frustration NOT to see one.

OH as for being hungrier... normally, when we train really hard, our body will demand more calories... so eat, but eat clean.

HTH

lcgal,
Should have remembered that; about the water retention I mean.

definitely true what you said about not seeing a weight loss. Have been losing fairly consistently, then I satrt working out and
gain. Go figure!. Really not upset. Thanks for the info

Cool For what it's worth...

I haven't lost an ounce since February.

I started BFL on 3/18.

Since then, at my last measuring (last week) I have lost just over 12" and am down one full pants size.

Scales are useless. Trust your clothing and your tape measure.

Default Try this allen

This supports the water retention theroy.

Weigh yourself before your UBWO.
Then make sure you drink your water during workout.
After your done weigh yourself again.
you'll be amazed by how much you gain in an hour . It will go away by the next day.

It really dosent mean anything, but it makes me just want to throw the scale out the window.

Have a good day
Paul
