Deary me, old packaging proudly boasts "Lower Carb" & 1.1g of Carbs per 15g serve. Cadbury Consumer Services lamely state that due to newer analysis techniques they have revised that figure to 5.5g per 15g. Smells like a scam to me, especially when you consider they have profited for the last 15 years from that false claim. Happily I can advise they will take bars back & refund with a Coles or Woolies voucher - so they damn well should. I'm really cheesed off with Cadburies - I'd like to know what I could have lost if I hadn't been suckered by their false claims.
yes - I used to have 2 or 3 rows as dessert every other day thinking that it was very lc. Yes AussieTonz, I was reminded of that Ribena lawsuit where they had to admit that Ribena didn't have more vitamin C than orange juice like there packaging said. Somewhat similar. I told the Consumer Person at Cadburies that no serious lc'er would touch the bars now they are correctly labelled.
I eat Well Naturally which is 4.5g carb for 50g choc. That's the mint anyway. The dark, orange, milk, almond etc all have diff counts but very low IMO. Sweetened with splenda.
