Angry Night eating

How do you avoid this annoying phenomenon? It's 10pm and I'm in the mood to munch on something. Currently I'm chewing gum and drinking my 90th cup of tea but this is getting ridiculous. I ate some 1500 calories today and did lower carb then I have in days, but still pretty high (150-200g due to fruit intake). So ....argh. How is this to be cured?

Oh i'm like that too. I will be fine the whole day because i'm so busy. But at night, when everything is all calm I just want to eat! I ususally just come on here now, it helps. Or else just immerse myself in homework.

The problem is that we are up so late after dinner that we get hungry again. The body likes to eat every few hours, and if you eat dinner at 6 you will definitely be hungry by 10 unless you are going to bed. ;(

I've started eating dinner later, at about 8, which seems to help.

Back in my freshman days I used to eat a whole second dinner around midnight.
