Default need menu help

Hi, I'm a 5'10" female and I weigh 222.6 as of this am - my question is this. How in the world can I get in 40g of protein per meal per day without going over 2000 calories? I like to eat 3 meals/day and a snack at night. I know that most of the calories are from the protein and the fats I use, but I thought we really weren't supposed to be worried about the fats. ( I can't stand veggies without butter or cream cheese). Maybe I'm just not understanding something on this plan (I just started and I am still reading the PPLP book). Could someone post some meal suggestions for me? Thanks

oh, by the way here is my menu from yesterday.

B-2 eggs with 1 slice american cheese and 1 oz. cream cheese cooked in 1 tbl. butter and 3 slices of bacon
L-2 cups lettuce and 1 cup raw spinach with 2-3 tbl. Ranch dressing, 1 can tuna in water (6.5 oz)
D-6 oz. ground turkey with mustard, 1C asparagus with 1 tbl. butter, 1/2C cauliflower with pat of butter and 1 tbl. of cream cheese
S-celery stalk with peanut butter

Easy. For one thing, 40 grams of protein per meal is not as much as you think it is. It's equivalent to 6 ounces of meat/fish/poultry.

Do you use Fitday.com? It's a great tool that lets you plan different combinations until you get the mix you want.

Also, check out the recipe link near the top of this forum. I checked it out for the first time yesterday, and have a long list of things I want to try. There's a whole section of daily menus you can look at, complete with recipes.

Good luck!

PS: What's wrong with the menu you posted? Looks fine to me!

I think you are registered on the Protein Power Way of LIfe board (suddenlaunch) so you might try looking in the Long Road forum. Some of the gals post their daily menus there. Parisfox (who also posts here) would LOVE to have someone else post daily menus every day with her. More might do it if there were several doing it every day. You know how being a part of a group can be.

Also you should find and read a post called "Not all Calories are Equal" in the Protein Power forum. I think it will put your mind at ease about how significant calories are in weight control. It is not that they don't count, but they count in a way you would not expect. So the number is not a true measure of what you are eating realtive to weight.

Regards,
Larry

Laura, here's the main page of the Long Road forum: http://ppwol.suddenlaunch3.com/index.cgi?board=100plus

And here's the link to the "Not all calories are equal" thread: http://ppwol.suddenlaunch3.com/inde...&num=1130955447

It's a small, but extremely informative, board that is dedicated to the Protein Power plan.
