Default "Go to first unread" not always an option

When I go from my subscribed list to the threads themselves, I don't get the link at the top of the thread to go to first unread. Is this normal? Could it be changed? Or is there another way of going directly to the first unread post from my subscriptions list?

Thank you,
Gez

Yes, it is normal when there are no unread posts, or the forums was marked read.

Thanks for replying. I don't quite understand yet; did I mark some threads as read and others not? This morning I was going to some threads that definitely had new posts since I last looked, but they didn't have the link. I'l keep a watch out for exactly when I expect to see the link and don't, to try to work out if I am doing something to cause this.
