Default Is SF Kool Aid ok?

I was making some SF Kool AID this morning and saw that it has maltodextrose in it? Is that ok? I have no problem with aspartame but am scared maltodextrose will keep me from losing?

I think it's an individual thing, like with the aspartame. Some people it will stall, some it won't. You just have to try it and see.

Maltodextrin is a "filler" or bulking agent, just like in the packets of Splenda. It contributes trace amounts of carbs per serving, but shouldn't cause a major problem, IMHO. If it makes you feel better, count a gram of carbs per serving, like for Splenda packets, and you'll be ahead of the game.

I make my own using Unsweetened Kool Aid Mix and Stevia Extract Powder. I don't worry about the Maltodextrin, because the amount is very low. According to Fitday, there's 0.0552g of Net Carbs in 1 NLEA Serving [8 fluid ounces] of Unsweetened Tropical Punch Kool Aid. Basically, 18-8 ounce glasses = 1g Net Carbs. The Sugar-Free Cherry lists as 1.02g per 1/8 of an Envelope. But, I don't know how accurate that number is since the FDA counts ANYTHING that isn't fat, protein, ash, water, or ethanol as a Carb.
