Glad to see there are a few still around. I've been riding early in the morning to beat the heat.

I usually do my longer rides in the afternoon. I don't mind the heat too much as the humidity is very low and sweat evaporates quickly at biking speeds and keeps me cool. I just have to drink lots of water.

To save gas I've been riding my bike to work. 12 minutes each way so not much of a workout.

I'm a cyclist! (You probably gathered that from my reply in your other thread...LOL.)

Actually, this year I'm attempting to become a triathlete, but really the bicycle is my first love. And now I remember how much I used to love swimming. But I still, and likely always will, hate running. Hate it. A lot.

I did a triathlon as a team. My dd swam, I did the bike, and one of my friends did the run.
Good luck on your tri at becoming a triathlete.

I know I'm slightly late on this thread LOL but I've just recently started (trying to) ride to work! This was my second week, so I'm still working on it. Man is it hard atm! There are some killer hills on my route.

On Tuesday I rode to work and home again and then went to yoga afterwards and I was knackered. I'd forgotten about the yoga class when I rode that morning.

Then on Thursday I rode to work but my legs were still tired from Tuesday and I had to get hubby to pick me up on his way home. Glad I did, cos I could still barely climb the stairs!

So, can anyone tell me when this will start getting easier? And what's the best way? I am considering trying to ride one way each day and take the bus or get a lift the other way, so that I'm riding every day and getting used to it without dying - but this is kind of a pain, and would it help or would it be chickening out??

Also, this morning, the scales are up! What's up with that? I haven't lost much recently but I expect I'm putting on muscles in my legs (I better be!) but why do the scales go up the day after a tough workout?
