Talking Malaysian Recipes

Hi there!.....

Any Atkins-active-Malaysian people here?...

I'm wondering about the recipes for low-carb food... Malaysian style... The proper menu (it's hard to find ingredients and stuff here - if I want to cook, according to Atkins' recipes....)

Can anybody there post some menu/recipes for me?.... please please please...

P/S: this is my 3rd day in this program...

i think satays without the peanut sauce is fine... im pretty sure they add sugar in those sauces (to make it so darn tasty!)

If you use real peanute butter (no sugar added) I think you can make a tasty sauce.

I've made Gado-Gado sauce (Indonesian, I think) at home & it was quite SB and Atkins friendly. I just took out the sugar.

Satay meat is definitely marinated in sugar so if you are in the induction phase stay away from it.

Malaysian Atkins dieter here~

well, i often eat my recipe which is simple and fast to prepare

Ingredients
2 Beef Ramli Burger meat (or chicken with lower carb)
2 pieces of cheddar cheese (prefer Mother's choice)
and some butter
Lettuce or Eggs (optional, sometimes i ate without them)

Fry the burger meat with butter, when its cooked, turn off the heat and put the cheese on top on each meat. Then serve with lettuce or u can serve with fried eggs

hi jnalye86
Ramli burger probably has plenty of carb as filler. Better to make your own meat patties from beef, chicken or mutton. Actually very easy to make. Shld stay away from processed food...plenty of carb in them.
Found an Atkins cookbook at RM19.90 only in Borders!! Bought it in April, perhaps it is still available.
Happy low carbing.
