I had my tonsils out when I was LCing last year and I still managed to stay on plan eating things like smoothies (you are alowed yogurt and milk) and then I added in a bit of fruit, strawberries and banana into the smoothy.....I also made a lot of home made chicken and veggie soup and froze it down ready to use....now, while I realise you're on induction, in this instance, a smoothy would be so much better than chocolate milk!

I don't know how other SBers think about this, but I personally would step into phase 2 for a week, then return to phase 1 again after you are healed up. Look at the food lists for phse 2 (can be found in my signature) and then adapt that to your situation. Also, think of eggs, scrambled are soft....you could have smoked salmon with scrambled eggs in the morning, a perfectly soft food to tollerate when you have a sore mouth.

Good luck! I hope someone else might have some suggestions!

I'd do sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, chicken broth, veggie soup, things like that. When I had mine out they told me no milk products at all as it caused phelgm in your throat and just made it harder to heal? I wonder if that's changed. I know I could have no milk, yogurt, ice cream etc.

Don't forget yummy mashed Cauliflower.. I added cheddar and sour cream to mine. In the recipe section theres a bake with cauliflower and broccoli. Soft, yummy and very filling.

I get to keep my wisdom teeth, but I've been in braces for a year, so I made myself a soft food reference thread for periods of orthodontic torture.

Basically, my stick blender and crock pot have been my best friends.

Good luck and speedy recovery!
