Unhappy Sigh.....

Hi all. I've been low carbing for almost 5 years. I've restarted several times.
But now I'm able to stay low carbing for longer times. This time its been over 5 months. I've only lost 3 lbs.

What is aweful is my thyroid is Hypo but my HMO won't treat it till its worse.
But I can't afford a doctor on my own. The nearest one who can is in another state another issue.

My diabetes is easily treated with Atkins. I haven't had my sugar above 120 2 hours after a meal. My highest is always my morning fast.

Its so hard. I just don't lose weight. And I lose heart. I post my menus in my journal and I'm not asking what I'm doing wrong but it have words of encouragement. I already know I don't exercise enough. Anyone else in a
similiar boat? I cook my own food, No premade stuff. I drink 3 liters of water per day. My carbs are around 30. If I go less carbs my thyroid gets worse and I freeze. I take all kinds of meds: Cromium, Potassium, magnesium, mult vitamin, and vitamin D.

Try to lose weight with untreated hypothyroid is nearly an exercise in futility. If I were you I'd aim for maintaining and do what you can to get some treatment for the hypothyroid. That's pretty much what I did. I just took a break from the hard dieting and focused on maintaining. Saved my sanity a bit.
