Ha! I just read your workout thread, you'll need it!

On falling, isn't that the pip! I've been doing some falling myself and I'm bouncing more like I use to. At one point when I was really bad (other issues affecting health) and super heavy, like over 350, I fell a few times on snow/ice and had to use "stuff" to get back up. Very humbling and I'm very grateful that I can at least get back up after most falls now.

I've even considered, and I kid not, practice falling on the ground/grass when it's dries out. Falling will always be part of life. I know that that when I fell a lot on skateboards I was able to see things happening in slow mo and fall very gracefully. So practice is in order for me, at least some jog into tumbling on left and right sides. Wait till your race is over to start those shenanigans if u will

Cheering you on from behind my tiny keyboard...

90 days is almost up. One week to go. It has gone quite well since the restart. This has felt like a really good level of eating and should serve me well in maintenance.

Thanks Lee. I'm still considering it. I think it would be a good idea. If I do I think I will modify my personal conditions of the challenge a bit. Perhaps get more specific on food item counts or something like abstain from a particular food item(s) Artificial Sweeteners and Cheese come to mind (the IF crowd says to avoid AS's) mostly I get these from energy/sports drinks - They don't tend to affect BG or hunger drive in me (measured BG) but it would be a good test to see if they could be avoided for 90 days and see if there are any interesting outcomes.

This will be my last 90 day challenge for a while. I'm not going to say 5th and final, because I really do like this challenge and committing to any area of your diet that needs work is of value - whether in maintenance or not. I'm still in losing mode anyway and likely will be for much of the year. May through mid-July are going to be busy days for me, so if I do another it will likely be later in the year.

This thread has exceeded the 2000 post limit, so since a new thread will need to be started I'd consider starting it in the regular challenge area and open it up to all. We had lots of participants here for a while, but it has been hard to get new recruits in recent months and I see this challenge as being beneficial for more than just us TDCers. The flip side of that is that the TDC area is a 'safe' place for those of us with the daunting challenge of losing 100 pound or more -- which will require a serious commitment. I see it both ways -- but it might be more fun with more participants. My 2 cents.

I'll have a think on it. I just tried to write down how I feel about the challenges of having to deal with triple digit excess weight (and not just triple digit, but being one of the few women here to start with around 300 lbs to lose) and what got us here, and the extra difficulties we face with the very long term weight loss challenge ahead of us.......but it's difficult, and much of it is probably best left for my journal as it got more personal.

I'll think more on what I'll do if the challenge ends in the TDC - but I can always do it in my journal, so it's not a problem.
