Question about smoothies--I know we aren't supposed to have them as a meal, but does anyone have them for a snack? The pb and banana one she has in her cookbook says it has 27 grams of carbs in it--so then would you also have a protein with it?

Also--about her dip recipes in her book, she always says to serve veggies with them but most of the dips are low in carbs--higher in protein, so why wouldnt' she tell you to have it with Ak Mak crackers or corn tortillas instead?

The cookbook also says that the pb and banana smoothie has 13 grams of protein (from the yogurt and pb), so it is a perfect snack. Some of the dips she suggests fruits and lists the carbs for those. I wouldn't take her suggestion of eating veggies with it as a rule, it just a suggestion. Anyway, I serve the dip with part of a meal, so I get the carbs in my meal instead.
