Cool Easter Eggs!!!

Well, i think that this will be the first year that I havent had an Easter Egg to snarf on the sofa!!!

Are there any low-carb versions?!?!? I love Green & Blacks organic chocolate - I wonder if they do an egg ... still I know that I would chomp WAY too much in one sitting!!!

Anyone doing anything exciting for Easter?!?! Hope you all have a great one!!!

I've heard a Thorntons one mentioned a couple of times on here - I guess it will have malitol in it though if you're particularly sensitive to that.

I don't normally think about easter - couldn't tell you the last time I had an easter egg!

Hi lindy,

Green and Blacks do make easter eggs I have seen them in the larger supermarkets. Not sure what the carb counts would be though.

Donna.

Hi,

I've noticed they are selling some on the internet sites. I think low carb megastore has a few easter chocolate things.

Good luck with you easter egg hunt!

Tammy

Default thorntons chocs

talkin about thorntons - have just purchased some yummy looking diabetic chocolate, now am a bit confused about the carb count - am i right in thinking that i subtract the polyol number from the total carb count??

if this is right then i am a happy bunny!!!!!!

(p.s) have already eaten most of them so please give the right answer!!!!!!!!!!

Was feeling off before Easter and succumbed to one of the Brownies caramel Easter eggs. Boy was it sweet. Anyway, glad to report it did no real damage. A Brownie did buy me an Easter egg and I'm pleased that that is still in its wrapping.

Did not see many Easter eggs in Barcelona, where I spent Easter, so not tempted. Was surprised to see sugar free turon in the Duty free at the airport, so brought some as a treat.

This is no longer topical, I know, but Green and Blacks certainly do make a 70% cocoa solids chocolate egg - cos I had one on Easter Sunday! They sell them in Tesco, even. I believe there is even more than one style - I had the one with a few small extra "noisette fudge" style eggs, which I don't really like.

Also, I think Lindt do a high cocoa solids egg - with dark chocolate thins, I think.

Things are certainly improving in the supermarket from the first year I was low carbing and had to make my own (rather disastrous) eggs at Easter. In fact, I still do make a few of my own, and this year I enjoyed my homemade coconut/chocolate little eggs more than the shop-bought one.
