Default First day on induction

So i've almost got through my first day on my 'low carb diet' and i think i have done ok, although i can't seem to stop thinking of what i can eat! At the moment i am really craving something sweet and i need a fix NOW lol. I really need some tips on what i can have to just numb the craving!

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Eating a high fat snack or even a sour one like a pickle (check the label for no sugar in the ingredients list) does the trick of squashing that sugar monster for me!

Cheese! That always does it for me -- a big hunk of yellow american cheese.

Best of luck!

I drink a diet soda when i get those cravings. I especially like cherry coke zero, doesn't taste chemically. This works for me because the major sweet I would have was Coca Cola Classic!

Be careful tho, i have heard that some people don't do so well with artificial sweeteners.

You could also try very dark chocolate like 70% or more. Its very bitter, but chocolate is very good for mood. In some psych studies some people got more happiness from a piece of chocolate than from a kiss from a loved one!

I like my chocolate with some all natural peanut butter on top.

Yes, unfortunately all the "sugar free" jelly in UK seems to be sweetened with aspartame, so is better avoided.
I make my own from unflavoured gelatine and sucralose sweetened Davinci "sugarfree" flavoured syrups.

Today's my first day on Induction as well!
I had a couple of slices of cheddar cheese and a couple of those Polish kabanos sausages for breakfast, with a large black coffee.
Lunchtime I had another couple of kabanos sausages... OMG, how lovely and chewy and tasty are those?! And then a little later I had a bacon double cheeseburger from Burger King, minus the bun.
I'm having my dinner now... 2 pan-fried pork chops, and some courgette, sauteed in butter. Tastes great!

So pleased I made it through Day 1 of induction!

That sounds like a great start, Tracey
Are you including any more veggies in your menus than you listed? Depending on the version of Atkins you are following you should be getting "most" of your carbs from your veggies (DANDR) or 12-15 net carbs (NANY).

I'm pretty sure the only carbs I ate yesterday came from those courgettes!
