Hello Im Zen, n started Atkin on 1st ov September, 2012.

Total Calories 982

Fat 59 g

Cholesterol 1350 mg

Sodium 560 mg

Carbs 8 g

Fiber 3 g

Protein 65 g

Sugars 108 g

datz da readin I got fo da food I ate yest at myplate.com fo menu which comprised ov...

BREAKFAST: 2 hard boiled eggz...happy cow full fat cheese (1 cube) and ten green olives ..................

FOR LUNCH: BBQ chicken tikkah widout any sauce and few slices ov cumcumber.

FOR DINNER: 3 whole eggz omelet wid a small onionz...two tomatoes...green pepper..zuchinni n boiled chick pieces in it as well as a salad which comprised ov tomatoez ..cucumber n onionz wid vinegar.

Plz tell me iv itz ok or not n check ma readin above also..total caloriez n all. n wud I be able to lose weight iv I carry on wid diz food menu. Am I eatin da right proportionz ov food?

Hi Zen,

and welcome to the board

I'm new to this myself, so I'm sure you'll get a lot more knowledgeable answers than mine, but looking at the nutritional values given your calories seem a little low – you might find it hard to maintain without getting tired a lot.

Other than that it’s hard to say – there’s no quantities of the food there. The induction phase of the diet (first two weeks) states only 2 cups of salad and one cup of low carb vegetables over each day. Be aware that one ‘medium’ tomato is around 5 carb, so the 3 that you mention would take you over the 8 total carbs you’ve listed.

Maybe look at the My PLAN feature on this board to look into ratios?

Hi Zenn and welcome.
I am not on Atkins but there are lots of people who are. You might get the book from the library and have a look at a typical day. Or visit other peoples journals and get an idea of what they are eating.
You don't have too much to lose so it should work beautifully for you.
