Default 415lbs. Going Down?

Hello! I have been doing the Atkins way of life since August of 2002. Though I have lost quite of bit of weight, it seems as though I have not lost in a few months. As of the last 2 weeks I decided to start counting my calories as keeping an eye on how many carbs I consume. I keep the calorie count at 1500 and the carbs at 30. I walk 5 miles at 4/5 times a week.

I guess my question is this; is this a normal occurrence with one that has been on the diet as long as I have, as well as having lost so much weight? To come to a stall for this long of a period?

I know I should not give up hope, that one day soon I will reach my goal (I'd be thrilled to hit 225!), but it seems like I have been stuck for 3 months and that tends to be discouraging.

Looking for some wise words from other low-carb folks....Thanks!

You have done fantastic! Yes the weight loss naturally slows. My suggestion, is to add strength training to your exercise regime, to raise your metabolism. (A pound of muscle burns 50 cals at rest)
Walking is great but you're not turning anything to muscle that way.
Good luck!
