Default oopsie rolls! Ok I'm converted!

I had read all the hype about rev rolls and oopsie rolls. No offence guys but they sounded pretty gross, as do some of the other low carb recipes! (sorry to be critical but pork rind french toast sounds revolting to me!)

But, I made some oopsie rolls just now. Oh. My. God. They totally are like bread!!!!!! WOOO HOOO!!

They are great and I have a feeling they will revolutionise my WOE. I feel like I've been let in on a secret! (ok, I'm thick - I know you all have been talking about them for ages but apparently I wasn't listening!)

Are they any good for toasted sandwiches or do they go funny if you heat them up?

I made some this evening for the first time, too! They're great! I have a plan to tweak the recipe a bit to make them a little chewier, hopefully like bagels! That will be tomorrow's batch.

I made hamburgers tonight and my rolls completely fell to bits!! So I think I'll be doing stiffer egg whites next time then hopefully they'll be a bit more resilient!

Yes, your egg whites need to be very, very stiff, before you very, very carefully fold in the yolk and cream cheese mixture.

I haven't had any problems with them being crumbly. They're usable right out of the oven, but so far I've always let them cool, and store them in the fridge until I need them. I know Cleo just lets hers come to room temperature before using them, but so far I've always put them in the toaster oven to warm them and crisp them up a bit again (unless I"m making something that will be heated up again anyway, like for instance french toast). They still hold up just fine to hamburgers, chicken salad and whatever else I've used them for.

yes, and pile up the batter high for hamburger rolls.

I love mine right out of the oven. I have trouble keeping my hands off them. I do my best not to let them get soggy. I've found that a bit of a warm up in the toaster oven brings them back to that fresh-baked yumminess.

Last night I made a pizza! OMG! whole oopsie crust and it held up perfectly.

I don't realllyyyyy taste a diff between the way I made revolution rolls and oopsies. I did find this forum because of rev rolls (I was googling for a recipe i had lost when my 72 book went missing)
Rev rolls changed my life!

I thought the same thing; I love them now. I even made them into 'cinnamon rolls' yesterday and hubby loved them (see journal for recipe).

They are a bit trickier to master; my first batch wasn't so good, but now that I get the egg whites blended with all the cream cheese mixture, they stand up nicely.

And they've been wonderful while I've been sick. This is usually when I fall off the Plan... and I haven't this time!

BTW, I agree, oopsies seem like they would suck butt. I mean, think of those ingredients.

But I just had french toast with them this morning and they rock hard.

I had oopsie french toast this morning too ... I absolutely love cinnamon rolls, so I need to give those a try too.

Something tells me this latest double batch of oopsie's isn't going to last very long.

I made them a couple of times and could ONLY eat them toasted - I had to leave them in the toaster to dry out some to help get over that eggy thing they have.

I'd probably make them more often but I suck at breaking eggs.

Yeah when I first started the forum, it was "mock danish". I'd better shut up or they'll start asking.

The cauliflower pizza, lasagna and bread sticks haven't hit here, though! Yet.
