Track carbs in MyFitnessPal.

Day 1 - 25
Day 2 - 36

I do not really have a target I am trying to hit. Just Just being mindful of what I am eating. Today is the one year anniversary of a very life changing event. I could feel myself being drawn back into emotional eating as a coping method. My therapist suggest that I share my struggle and use tracking as a way of being mindful. So far it appears to be working- the mindfulness.

goals: Fall quarter (to Winter Solstice): 15 min a day cleaning something 5 days a week. (Goal is to deep clean house/ pack and sort/discard stuff)
I have a sub-task here too. Exercise. I want to spend 20 min 5 days a week exercising.

I spent 2 hours this afternoon copying journal notes (the original notebooks/letters go back to someone who is letting me copy them as part of my piecing together lost/forgotten journals/segments of my life) and thus is part of my "get this done and out of the house" clean-up and packing. This is big, I've had these for over a year - they came with me from OH.

Recapping this AM: It was 30 min of yoga, not 20...and accomplishing something feels GOOD

Since I am starting on Friday - it won't be 5 days this week.

Default I started late in the week so this is day 2 of 3 this week

I did 30 min of A Morning Cup of Yoga outside after work after the sun went down. Decent out (82) and nice breeze, you can feel the temp dropping....This time I got to the exercise after the one I stopped at yesterday, - I can only get so far, not able to get thru the entire routine yet. It's very nice to do this outside, especially with the breathing.

I noticed today at the library how tense and tight I am all day (we are very busy) and I tend to hold my breath - I was aware of my breathing today and had to make myself let it out, and take some deep breaths. I even went to take a break so I could relax and breathe (I rarely take breaks). I LIKE THIS!

Will edit when I do my journal copying - counts as my cleaning/packing project...** 25 min spent on this.
Kat

used my 15 mins of cleaning wisely. It takes 5 minutes to boil water for coffee, that's 3 servings of coffee

Am at a conference in Mozambique, nice hotel on the indian Ocean, threats include outrageous buffet, opportunities include wonderful infinity pool and good gym. Arrived on Friday, and that night got back on the walking commitment as my pain from kidney is pretty minimal. So I've done the following with regard to my 90 day (from July 15) commitment to have a minimum daily basic 30 minute walking exercise:
Friday September 22 30 minutes treadmill at 6k/h, and 2% incline
Saturday September 23 30 minutes treadmill at 6 k/h and 1.5% incline
Sunday September 24 30 minutes treadmill same as above

Plan: My own - < 30 net carbs
Stats: 440/228/210 Male 5' 11"
BF:Energy Unleashed
Progress: 92%
Location: Central Virginia - USA
Default Day 6 & 7 of 90

Start date: 9/18/2017
Goal: Lose the extra pounds I gained over the spring & summer

Means:
1) Track food daily, keeping carbs < 30 net
2) Abstain from peanut butter, peanuts & cashews, dark chocolate, and Protein (Quest) bars
3) No eating after dinner
4) Get a 2+ mile walk in at least 5 days a week

Yesterday was a busy one. I got a 5 mile walk in, then got busy with chores and the house project for the rest of the day. All of my challenge goals were met. The calories were a bit high, but net carbs < 20.

TTFN. It is time for me to slip out for another walk before it gets too hot.

My aim: Develop "minimum effort required" in abode maintenance for a period ending 20171231.2359. Habituate the practice after that; observe, adjust.

Observations:

really liking the "circular dish theorem" - I'm reminded of the time spent crewing foredeck on a C&C 36 in Tampa/St. Pete. The captain required that all rigging must be race ready after docking and before drinking. There is good reason for this.

Took care of dogs and went straight to bed... this is why 5 days instead of 7 is good - for days like yesterday. (Even though I just started...some days are better than others)

Today: Did 30 min of Morning Cup of Yoga outside before sunrise. Lovely and cool, needed to bring out a bath mat to stand on...

will update on house part...**30 min spent on the current project - also went and had a look at the master closet...(as in dog hair/dust) now I know where to start there - the rest I don't mess with...

No new learnings. only time spent was on continued circular dish theory. Working.

Another successful day. I feel like I'm getting back in the groove. Who know? I might even finish this 90 days unblemished. That would be good. Holidays are coming. This is a good time to be rock solid with my WOE.

One observation: I'm starting to eat a little boring again and I have no problem with it. I can eat the same foods on consecutive days and be quite satisfied with how I'm eating. Not so with the family. They don't want the same thing today as they had yesterday. They are eating out more and doing more of their own thing as far as food goes. Their food choices are not so good.

Default Day 25

Beginning of day 25.
I am very surprised that I have not seen the scale move down...
Actually I am lying to myself.... The scale shouldn't be moving because I have just replace one bad habit with another... I have been indulging on Atkins bars to replace my nuts... not initially, but they have now become a problem.

So beginning today I will cut down to 1 Atkins Bar a day-
