Default So what the heck does all this *insulin spikes=Bad* have to do with weight loss?

I don't get it.

Ever since switching to CKD all I hear on forums and from other CKD'ers is *insulin spikes=bad*

Ok. I pretty much know what happens when your insulin gets spiked. I'm not into all the technical, scienticfic of it.. but I get most of that.

What I don't get is how does that really effect weight loss or why does it?

I personally believe in staying away from fake, proccessed junk food as much as possible for health reasons. I don't even like canned vegetables anymore. I'm just wondering where this comes from about effecting weight loss and promoting fat storage..bs..etc.
Look at (some) Atkins people. Look at the shit they eat. Their fake bars, their shakes, their disgusting proccessed bacon and hotdogs, their Keto and CarbSolutions brand foods, their proccesed pork rinds..their fast food salads that contain hidden crap like soy and dextrose. And they're obviously losing weight just fine. Sure, they get stalled..but from what I noticed, the people getting stalled are the ones eating a bar every day. Even people that drink an AtkinsAdvantage shake twice a week seem to be losing just fine. Crap food, but they're losing.

So what's up with CKD articles and their obsession with insulin spikes effecting weight loss and being so bad?

Insulin = Fat Storage hormone jack*ss. When your on a high fat diet it's obviously something you want to keep in check. It also sparks hunger big time.

As far as people loosing weight on that crap ass food, they're probably way overweight and obviously have a little headroom for poor food choices.

You are mistaken, the majority of people who eat all of that *shit* don't lose weight - they stall out and eventually have to admit that eating all the *shit* isn't doing them any good and so they resort to going back to basics to enable then to get losing again.
