I also feel that cardio is as important as strength work and to make sure I get enough of both, I do different work outs every day. The gym makes this easy for me: either I take a class (yesterday was Body Pump = strength, today was spinning = cardio) or I do a combo with 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes weights (I give myself an hour each day to work with). On Sundays I do yoga, sometimes Wednesdays too, instead of anything else.
If you are working out at home, try different videos, or go out and run one day, stay in and do weight work the next. As long as I never do the same type of work-out two days in a row, I know I am covering all the bases...and I never get bored!
