Anyone doing Pilates?

Hi,
I'm new to all this.I've been doing the beginning Pilates tape for 6 days now.
Is anyone else doing Pilates?
I'm wondering how good it really is for taking off the lbs and inches?
Its leaving me with a sore neck and tummy.
This is the first time that I'm doing an exercise routine.
