Default "Couch-to-5K" Challenge

Anybody out there doing the "Couch-to-5K" program? I have been interested in getting started on it....I read the online information and I am ready to give it a go.

Anyone want to join me?

A friend of mine did that program when she was getting ready to go into the Police Academy. It works great - I would join you but I am still a bit too heavy to comfortably run or jog.

I have to stick to my walks and elliptical trainer! Good luck though and you will do great I'm sure. Be careful though - running can be addictive! I know people who run races all the time and they love it.

You know I'm in. I'm scared, but willing to try.

When do we start?

I am in. I am on Week 5 now, Day 3 now. I have been able to complete it all in time, but this next run is going to be near impossible for me.

This plan is AWESOME. I struggled running a minute at first. Now I am running two sets of 8 minutes without a problem. I REALLY recommend it to people.

I am going to start this program on Tuesday. I know that it says to spread out the three days but because of my work schedule, I will probably do it Tues, Wed, Thurs.

I also think I am going to spread it out and work the program slowly.

I am beyond psyched. I finished up week 5 today and did the 20 minutes straight run. To think, just over 5 weeks ago, it was a struggle to run more than a minute and a half.
