Thumbs up I'm BACK!!

Hello friends!! After a few years of off and on dabbling with low carb (I lost 80+lbs the first time over 11 years ago, but gained it all back). I am hypothyroid. I thought that meant that my low carb lifestyle didn't matter because I was going to be fat anyway. After, what seems like a long time, my meds have gotten adjusted and I am at the optimal range of thyroid hormones. Then last year, I had my gall bladder out. The Dr. blamed the fact that I was going back to low carb on my gall bladder being full of stones and needing to be removed. He told me that I would have to eat low fat forever. I gave low fat a chance at first, and I did lose some weight, but it was definitely up and down. I was always hungry and craved junk. When I caved and ate the junk, I had terrible bathroom issues. Anyway, after some research, I decided to go back to low carb. Eating Atkins made me feel way better than I ever have and the added bonus of losing those 80lbs made me move more and raised my self confidence to levels I had never experienced. I was very nervous about eating high fat again, but after only 3 days, I noticed that I am eating a LOT less, drinking more water, and have had ZERO bathroom issues. It's only been 3 days, but I can already feel the difference. Yes, I am starting the dreaded low carb flu, but even though the exhaustion is dragging me down, my mind and body feel just plain better.
