Hi,
There is no such thing as "spot reduction."
Period.

Anyone who tells you that there is is either misinformed or lying.

The only thing you can do is to reduce your bodyfat level and gain some muscle.

Your body will lose the bodyfat in it's own pattern of loss, you can't control that.

However; as I said...doing strength training does a few things:

1.) Adds muscle mass, which in turn burns more calories than fat does.
2.) Causes you to look better than you would with less optimum muscle mass.

I know that's hard to hear but it's the truth.

You still have a way to go, Israeli. I know there is not a thing as "spot reducing," but I have found that there is an "order," to both how you put on weight, and take it off. For instance, at this early stage in my weight loss, I seem to be taking more off of my back, neck and face. It also matters what your genetic "family" fat deposit pattern is. Some genetics have more fat on one or the other area.

The Eades think it is related to liver and metabolic syndrome issues. I guess the key would be to correcting the underlying fatty liver, give the alcohol a miss and definitely the fructose, correct blood sugars. Their middle-aged middle diet did nothing for me, but I've lost a heck of a lot off my belly from the hcg diet.

Hey Nancy, whats hcg?

I don't eat any fruit, no alcohol, but I heard over the counter pain relievers can mess up your liver.
Acetaminophen is deadly, I read.

And Za'atar,

I know I have a long way to go.

I googled the HCG diet, and am curious also. Dropping down to 500 calories after eating in excess would drop a lot of lbs... Shoot, eating 500 calories per day would melt me away to a grease spot.

Once you lost the belling fat from this plan, did it come back when you stopped using this plan?

Default Belly Fat Hardest to Lose

Belly fat is usually the last to go.
I've lost 145 pounds. As has been mentioned, the fat comes off from everywhere, you can't target certain areas. But you can exercise certain muscle groups. After 21 months I feel I could lose another 10 or 15 pounds. A lot of this would be around my waist.
I've gone from a 52 inch waist to a 33 now.
Seems like I'm stuck, not gaining but not losing.

I've lost 155 pounds now.
Rebounding is the best way I've found to reduce belly fat.
Give it a try.

I've always heard that the first place you gain weight (belly or whatever) is the last place you'll lose it. It seems true for me. Most of my weight is in my belly, and then hips and thighs. My belly is the first to the party, and the last to leave.

I think some people have had success with the hcg diet. I tried it with the homeopathic drops. I did lose weight, but afterwards it came right back onto my body with astonishing speed. But that's just me. I tend to regain very quickly no matter how I lose weight.
