Wink Living a Life I Love! - my exercise log

Hey, great - an exercise log!

So one of the reasons I decided to go low-carb is because I've been having joing problems. My wrists have been bad for, gosh, probably about 8 years (RSI / tendinitis from piano and maybe typing), adn my knees started hurting too a few years ago (probably all that extra weight I'm carrying!)

Earlier in the year I actually got super-motivated to exercise more often, but then very quickly blew my joints out and had to rest them for weeks. (I treid doing the Body for Life, which really does seem like a great exercise routine, but the weights were way too much for my joints!)

So, pretty much all I can do for now is walk - which is still great exercise! So my plan is to walk a lot until I drop about 20-30 lbs., and then try to add more other types of exercise, including weights and weight training. Hopefully my joints will respond well to this!

A while back I ordered a pedometer, and it's been a great help in helping me gauge how far I walk, and how fast. It's a really great little tool, and I highly recommend it to anyone who walks a lot - it makes keeping objective records much easier!

Ok, so today I walked around the reservoir for about 75 minutes, covering about 3.8 miles, in around 10,300 steps.

Wow, an addendum - 1.6 more miles, 4433 more steps!
